10. Lady Bird & The Fox (16pt Large Print Edition) - Kim Kelly

Largeprint (Paperback) Our price: £32.99  - Click book title for availability and further details

It's 1868 and the gold rush is sprawling across the wild west of New South Wales, bringing with it a new breed of colonial rogue - bushrangers. A world far removed from hardworking farm girl, Annie Bird, and her sleepy village on the outskirts of Sydney. But when a cruel stroke of fortune sees Annie orphaned and outcast, she is forced to head for the goldfields in search of her grandfather, a legendary tracker. Determined and dangerously naive, she sets off with little but a swag full of hope - and is promptly robbed of it on the road. Her cries for help attract another sort of rogue: Jem Fox, the waster son of a wealthy silversmith, who's already in trouble with the law - up to his neatly trimmed eyebrows in gambling debts. And now he does something much worse. He 'borrows' a horse and rides after the thieves, throwing Annie over the saddle as he goes. What follows is a breakneck gallop through the Australian bush, a tale of mistaken identity and blind bigotry, of two headstrong opposites tossed together by fate, their lives entwined by a quest to get back home - and the irresistible forces of love.

As the blue whale decays on the beach, more wildlife turns up dead - apparently by suicide - echoing Marty's deepest desire. But Julie isn't ready for a world without her father. Jose R. "Pepe" Fernandez was born in San Nicol√°s de Bari, Cuba, and since 1962 has been living in exile. Although his professional life has unfolded in the business sector, from an early age Pepe developed a love of reading and historical research. He is currently putting the finishing touches on yet another extensive research project on little known people and accounts relating to the Cuban wars of independence. The current work was born from the desire to understand how a falsehood of the eighteenth century could become a fact validated by the last three generations of our most important historians. In good measure, it is thanks to professional support that belief in the myth of Las Damas de La Habana y sus joyas (the Ladies of Havana and their jewelry) has become one of the best known and loved historical "facts". Although many might object, the author's only purpose in exposing the truth is to help prevent today's lies of propaganda from becoming tomorrow's historical truth.

Le linee sincroniche attraversano il pianeta disegnando “strade” che uniscono fra loro punti anche molto distanti; questo libro le descrive, illustrandone lo scorrimento e le funzioni con l’ausilio di mappe e disegni. Largeprint (Paperback) Our price: £16.99  - Click book title for availability and further details

Nearly everything we do in life is the result of our habits. The good ones bring peace, joy and power into our lives, and the bad ones steal our peace and joy and prevent our success.

In this book, Joyce Meyer explains how to develop good habits--the things you really want to do--and break the bad ones, putting an end to frustration, discouragement and stress that drains your energy.

The most important habit comes first: the God habit. Next comes a willingness to work for the results you want. Joyce reminds us that, "if we don't pay the price for freedom, we will end up paying the price for bondage." Next comes the power of our words. Our words and the thoughts that propel them have tremendous power over our actions, and repeated actions are the basis of our habits.

There are eleven more habits that Joyce discusses in depth, including the habits of happiness, faith, excellence, responsibility, generosity, discipline, decisiveness and confidence.

"Choose one area and begin," she urges. "Don't feel overwhelmed by all the changes that are needed. One thing at a time, one day at a time is the best plan. Celebrate every day of success, and when you make mistakes, shake off the disappointment and keep going forward."

You can transform your life, one habit at a time.
